ISCTIS 2026 Keynote Speakers

Prof. Pingyi Fan, Tsinghua University, China (NAAI Fellow, IET Fellow)
Tenured Professor at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University; Director of the Open Source Data Cognition Innovation Center; Member of the U.S. National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (US-NAAI); Co-Chair of the Academic Committee of NAAI Asian Research Institute; Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET Fellow) and Member of the IET Fellow International Evaluation Committee. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University in 1994, and conducted research visits at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Delaware from 1997 to 1999. He has also visited multiple universities and research institutes in the United States, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore on numerous occasions. As a principal investigator, he has led national projects and initiatives such as the 973 Program, 863 Program, Mobile Communications Special Project, Key R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation projects, and international collaborative projects. He has published over 600 academic papers (ORCID), including more than 170 papers in IEEE journals and over 10 ESI highly cited papers. He holds over 40 national patents, 7 international patents, and has authored 5 academic books. His awards include 10 Best Paper Awards at IEEE international conferences such as IEEE ICCCS 2024, ICC 2020, and Globecom 2014; the IEEE TAOS 2020 Annual Best Paper Award; the 2024 High Impact Paper Award from the Chinese Journal of Electronics (CJE); the IEEE TWC (2009) Outstanding Editorial Board Member Award; the AEIC (2023) Most Popular Scholar Award; the Natural Science Second Prize from the China Institute of Communications (2023); the DCASE2024 Challenge Judges’ Award from the IEEE AASP Acoustic Scene and Event Detection and Classification Competition; and the NAAI 2025 Artificial Intelligence Exploration Award. He serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (TCCN) (2024–2026), Open Journal of Mathematical Sciences, and IAES International Journal of Artificial Intelligence (IJAI) (2023–2026). He is also the Vice Chair of the Information Theory Society of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, Co-Chair of China 6G-ANA TG4, and Chair of the IEEE ChinaSIP Network and Communication Technology Committee. He has served as General Chair, Technical Committee Chair, or Keynote Speaker at international conferences on more than 40 occasions. His recent research focuses include 6G wireless communication networks and machine learning, semantic information theory and generalized information theory, big data processing theories, and intelligent network and system detection.

Prof. Yuan Yan TANG, University of Macau, China (IEEE Life Fellow,、IAPR Fellow、AAIA Fellow)
Professor Yuanyan Tang is the Chair Professor of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Macau, and holds positions as professor, associate professor, or honorary professor at multiple research institutions in China, the United States, Canada, France, and Hong Kong. His current research interests include wavelets, pattern recognition, image processing, and artificial intelligence. He has published over 400 academic papers and authored or co-authored more than 25 monographs, books, or book chapters. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution, and Information Processing (IJWMIP) and serves as an associate editor for several international journals. Additionally, he is the Founder and Chair of the Pattern Recognition Committee of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. Professor Tang has acted as General Chair, Program Chair, or committee member for numerous international conferences and is the Founder and General Chair of the International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition (ICWAPR) series. He is also the Founder and Chair of the Macau Branch of the International Organization for Standardization.
